Rena Sherel SOFER
Rena Sherel Sofer is an American
actress, known for her appearances in daytime television, episodic guest
appearances, as well as made-for-television films. Sofer was awarded the
Daytime Emmy Award in 1995 for her character Lois Cerullo on the soap opera General
Hospital. Quinn Fuller has been her role in the CBS soap the show The Bold and
The Beautiful since 2013. Sofer was born in Arcadia (California) to Susan Sofer
and Martin Sofer. Martin Sofer is a Conservative Rabbi. After the divorce of
her parents Sofer's family moved to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. In 1970, Sofer
emigrated with her brother David and father to Teaneck in New Jersey. But, by
the time Sofer was five years old, she lived in Western Pennsylvania. The
family was brought up in Ambridge, Pennsylvania by their father, Beth Samuels
Jewish Center. She was a student at the Frisch School, an coeducational Mordern
Orthodox Jewish highschool in Paramus (New Jersey). Sofer lived in North
Bergen, New Jersey which was where her father served as the synagogue's Rabbi
Temple Beth El. After graduating from North Bergen High School in 1998, she
pursued her education at Montclair State College. Sofer began her career as
Lois Marie Cerullo on General Hospital. In 1993, she worked as an administrator
of a band. Her first major role was Rocky McKenzie on the daytime soap drama
Loving (1988-91). One of her most well-known roles is that of Lois Cerullo, a
nurse on General Hospital from December 15 in 1993 to September 24 the 24th of
September, 1996. Later she returned to the show as a guest star (February 7,
1997 - September 30 September 30, 1997; October 2, 1997 until October 2 1997).
Her portrayal of the comical Lois won Sofer an award in the form of a Daytime
Emmy Award in 1995 for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series. Sofer
was cast in CBS' soap opera The Bold and the Beautiful as Quinn Fuller, a role
she created just. The first episode premiered in July 2013. Sofer has appeared
as a guest actor or guest in a variety of prominent prime-time TV shows, including
Seinfeld and Melrose Place. She has also been a guest in The Chronicle, Ed and
Friends. The premiere episode aired on July 12.
