Deborah Rhea Seehorn Bio

Deborah Rhea Seehorn, born on May 12, 1972, is an American actress. She is most well-known for playing attorney Kim Wexler in AMC's Better Call Saul (2015-present), where she is two-time winner of the Satellite Award for Best Supporting Actress - Series, Miniseries or Television Film. She has also appeared on the NBC miniseries Whitney (2011-2013), ABC's I'm with Her (2003-2004) and TNT's Franklin & Bash (2011-2014). Deborah Rhea Seehorn, a Norfolk native, was born May 12 in 1972. Her mother was the executive assistant to the United States Navy, while her father was an agent in the Naval Investigative Service; her family was frequently moved during her early years, including Washington, D.C. and Arizona and also in Japan. She followed in the footsteps of her grandmother and father by taking classes in architecture, painting and drawing from an early age. While she continued her pursuit of the visual arts, she developed an interest in acting. She was also introduced to modern theater at the time of her college. In 1994, she graduated from George Mason University with a Bachelor of Arts in Studio Art. Seehorn started her career in college as an actor, and was guided by her acting instructor. To get noticed she did ancillary roles in D.C.'s theater industry. She ended up getting some significant roles in local theatre productions However, she still had to find odd jobs to help make ends meet as she landed roles in several short instructional films. She soon was able to find roles in television productions. The roles she played were usually that were "very humorous and funny" like her role model Bea Arthur. Many of these parts were then removed after just one or two seasons. Seehorn was cast as Kim Wexler in the Breaking Bad prequel series Better Call Saul in May 2014. Seehorn is Kim Wexler, a lawyer as well as the love interest of the title Jimmy McGill/Saul G. Goodman (Bob Odenkirk).
