Kari Matchett Biography

Kari Matchett is an Canadian actress, best known for appearing in movies like 'Apartment Hunting, 'Men with Brooms, The Tree of Life.' She was born in Spalding (Saskatchewan) and then relocated to Alberta, Canada where she completed her high school. As a teenager, she became attracted to acting. She attended Montreal's National Theatre School to continue her acting training. In Moscow, she also attended the Moscow Theatre School. In 1996, she appeared as a supporting role on the Canadian series 'The Rez. She appeared in series like 'Forever Knight' "Ready or Not?" and many others in the same year. In the latter part of 1990, she made her debut in film in the form of the film "Papertrail" and later appeared in films such as "Men with Brooms" and "Cypher." She also had support roles in shows such as "A Nero Wolfe Mystery" and "Blue Murder." Although she was acting in films throughout the 2000s and beyond however, her screen appearances were less than her television appearances. She was also the main actress in the 1998 Canadian drama series called 'Power Play. The show ran for two seasons and 26 episodes, and was highly praised by critics as well as advertisers. In recognition of her role in the series, she was nominated to the Gemini Award. Jude Lyon Matchett was born to her in June 2013. But she didn't disclose the identity of her son's dad. According to certain sources, the father of her son was her ex-boyfriend. Kari Matchett met T.W. Peacocke in the mid-1990s, and they began dating. They were finally married in 1998. However, the marriage did not last long and the couple split in the year 2006.
