Padma Parvati Lakshmi is a Indian from Chennai who was born on September 1, 1970. Lakshmi was divorced by her parents when she was two years old. Her mother emigrated to America to escape the shame of divorcing in India. Lakshmi lived for two years with her maternal grandparents in Chennai prior to her move to the United States. Her parents divorced and Lakshmi has a younger brother and sister. Lakshmi is a woman who shares her last name with the Hindu goddess of prosperity and wealth was born in New York and then in Los Angeles with her mother and stepfather. Her family visited her in India several times a year, and returned for a few months. Padma Lakshmi began to be attracted to acting in 1999. Her first role was in "Figlio di Sandokan," an Italian pirate movie. Next, she starred in 'Caraibi' (Pirates Blood Brothers), an episode that focused on pirates of the 17th century. In 2001, she played in a comedy role supporting the disco singer in 'Glitter.' Padma is the mother of a daughter, Krishna Thea Lakshmi-Dell with Adam Dell, a venture capitalist. Krishna was born in February 2010, on 20 Feb 2010. Teddy Forstmann, who was the CEO and ex-chairman of IMG and is also her co-partner. Lakshmi is dating American venture capitalist Adam Dell and the pair have a daughter together, Krishna. Lakshmi disclosed that her daughter's father is Dell.
