Sarah Chalke

Sarah Chalke was conceived in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada on August 27, 1976. Her parents are Angie Chalke and Doug Chalke. Sarah is the middle child having one older sister, Natasha Chalke, and one younger, Piper Chalke. Sarah began her acting career on TV in a made-for-TV film called City Boy (1992). In 1993, after her debut film, she was a candidate for the role of "Becky" in the TV show Roseanne (1988). Following the time that Alicia Goranson left the show to go to college, the show was searching for the perfect replacement. Sarah completed her high school graduation in the year 1995, while filming the 1994-1995 season of Roseanne (1988). Also, in 1994, Sarah co-starred in the film Ernest Goes to School (1994) as did Jim Varney. She also appeared in Robin of Locksley (1996) and Stand against Fear(1996). In these films Sarah played the role of Krista Wilson as who was a cheerleader. In 1998, one year following the time that Roseanne (1988) ended, Sarah was asked to perform in a show titled Nothing Too Good for a Cowboy (1998). Based on the show Nothing Too Good For a Cowboy (1998), the show was also based. In 1993 she took over Becky's role on Roseanne (1988). Said she would like to stop acting and attend college. 2001 (1993-1997) She played Sara Gilbert's elder sister on Roseanne (1988), however, she is actually younger. Attended the 1999 CCMA award ceremony, and was awarded an award for the best single of the year. September 1999: Appeared at the age of 8 in Vancouver's theatre productions. Fluent in French as well as German. She works at a hospice that cares for children who are terminally ill and works with the Audrey Hepburn Children's Fund. In her spare moments, Chalke prefers cooking with acquaintances (especially Thai and sushi) and playing guitar or hiking, ski (she's an instructor) as well as kayaking, snowboarding and reading. Her father is an attorney, and both parents operate an adoption agency for children. She accompanied her parents to China two years ago to assist in coordinating the adoptions of a lot of orphans.
