Rashida Jones
Rashida Jones was the younger sister of
media mogul, producer, musician Quincy Jones and actress Peggy Lipton. Kidada
Jones is her elder sister. She is also the half-sibling of five from her
father's other relationships. Her father is African-American, and her mother is
Ashkenazi Jewish (a descendant from immigrants from Russia and Latvia). Rashida
was raised in Reform Judaism. Her birthplace was Bel Air, Los Angeles. Jones
said that Jones' parents were mixed race and did not suit her during the 1970s.
Jones' professional acting debut was on The Last Don (1997) the mini-series
based on Mario Puzo's novel. Rashida was also an Harvard University graduate in
1997. She was a student at the Buckley School in Sherman Oaks (California). She
was named the Most Likely to Succeed. Arabic (O+O'UO O(c)) is her nickname. It
is the word for "Major" adult, mature and wise. People magazine's 50

vocalist for the Tupac Shakur tribute track. Rashida as well as Kidada's
brother Quincy Jones III produced the song, and their father, Quincy Jones,
made an appearance , reciting the lyrics of the song by Tupac Shakur
"Starry Night" in the intro. The title of the song is a reference to
the poem. Rashida's father was African-American as well as having smaller
amounts of English, Scottish, and Welsh, the ancestry of which is Welsh,
Scottish, and English (some of his African relatives were of the Tikar people
of Cameroon). Rashida's mom, Ashkenazi Jewish (of Russian Jewish heritage and
Latvian Jewish heritage), is Rashida. Her paternal grandparents, both of South
Carolina, and Mississippi as her paternal grandparents. Her maternal
grandfather is born in New York and her maternal grandmother was of Eastern
European Jewish descent, was born in Dublin, Ireland. As of the end of 2009,
she had played three different characters using the name "Karen" on
the cult classic TV comedies (Freaks and Geeks (1999), Stella (2005) and The
Office (2005)).
