Charisma Carpenter

Charisma Carpenter, born July 23rd 1970 She is an American actress. Cordelia Chase played the character of Cordelia in Buffy the Vampire Slayer's supernatural drama (1997-1999) as well as the spin-off show Angel (1999-04). She was also a star in Charmed (2004) The Charmed (2004), Kendall Casablanca's (2005-2006), Rebecca Sewell (2012-2013) and Lacy (2010-2012) Carpenter was born in Las Vegas (Nevada), the daughter of Christine Carpenter who is an employee of a bird sanctuary and Don Carpenter, an entrepreneur. Carpenter is of Spanish, French, and German heritage (from her maternal grandfather). Carpenter was a student at Bishop Gorman high school in Las Vegas. Carpenter was an active member of a dance and song group that performed in Las Vegas Valley. Carpenter's family moved to Rosario Beach (Baja California, Mexico) when Carpenter was 15. She went to Bonita Vista High School and Chula Vista School of the Creative and Performing Arts. Carpenter has traveled throughout Europe after graduating. Carpenter returned to San Diego in 1991 and worked as an aerobics teacher and videostore clerk and property manager. In 1991, she worked as a cheerleader for the San Diego Chargers football team. In 1992, she relocated to Los Angeles.While swimming in San Diego in 1991, she and two male colleagues were attacked by Henry Hubbard Jr., an ex- San Diego police officer and serial rapist who tried to subdue them with a gun. The two of her friends as well as Hubbard were shot in the struggle. Hubbard fled the scene while both of her friends were saved. Hubbard was taken into custody and convicted, and sentenced to 56-years in prison for a series of rapes. Carpenter used Hubbard's flashlight from the beach which he had abandoned at the scene and the flashlight ended up being the most important evidence used against him.
