Mila Kunis Bio

Mila Kunis, born Milena Kunis in Chernivtsi Ukraine on the 14th of August in 1982. Kunis immigrated with her parents Elvira Kunis and Mark Kunis to the United States at seven years of age. They eventually moved to Los Angeles. The Kunis family was unable to make it in America with the sum of $250. However, Kunis' parents, who each gave up their professional lives to move out of their homes, were determined to make an easier living for their kids. Mark who was a retired mechanical engineer, was able to find work as a cab driver. Elvira who had studied physics in Ukraine was pharmacist. Kunis said that he did not completely comprehend American culture when he first came to America. "I did not understand the American people. I couldn't comprehend the language. My essay to get in college began with this sentence: "Imagine being blinded and deaf at the age of 7." And that's kind of the experience I had when I moved to the States. I was able to get over it quickly. Milena Markovna Kunis is daughter of Mark Kunis (Ukraine) and Elvira (Chenivtsi), Ukraine. She was born on the 14th of August, 1983. Her older brother is also hers. Her mother is a teacher of physics and manages an pharmacy. Her father, a mechanical engineer by profession is also driver for taxis. Her family moved to Los Angeles in seven years. Rosewood Elementary school was her first option. At the age of nine, she began lessons in acting. She auditioned for a few commercials, and began her career in her first television role on 'Days of Our Lives' in 1994.She played small roles as a young actor in 'Honey, We Shrunk Ourselves and 'Santa with a Muscle' and the Angelina Jolie's film 'Gia'. In 1998, she got her first major role, in the role of Jackie Burkhart, in the hit sitcom "That 70s show". After getting praise from the critics, she was cast in the role of Meg Griffin, an animated sitcom.
